The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
