The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
