The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
