The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
