The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
