The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
