Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 in a Garden on high, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 and raised couches, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
