Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Well-pleased with their endeavour, 9 In a high Garden 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 and raised couches, 13 and prepared goblets, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
