Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 raised couches, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
