Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 hearing there no babble; 11 therein a running fountain, 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their turning back, 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
