Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
