Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
