Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a high Garden. 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 And goblets set at hand 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And linen spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel how it has been created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
