Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 in a Garden on high, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And linen spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Surely to Us is their turning back, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
