Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Pleased with their striving,- 9 In an elevated garden, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 raised couches, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their turning back, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
