Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 in a Garden on high, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26
