Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 In a high Garden 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 In which are high thrones. 13 and prepared goblets, 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And the earth – how it has been spread out? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
