Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 in a sublime garden, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 raised couches, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
