Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In a high Garden 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 And goblets set at hand 14 And cushions lined up 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
