Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
