Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 Goblets set, 14 and arranged cushions 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And the earth – how it has been spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
