Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a high Garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 and couches raised high, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains how they have been established? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
