Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And goblets set at hand 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26
