Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 in a sublime garden, 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions lined up 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
