Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 Goblets set, 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
