Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 However, as for him who turns away, being bent on denying the truth, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
