Al-Fajr
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the (particular) dawn. 1 And by oath of ten nights. 2 And by oath of the even and the odd. 3 and by the night when it moves on towards daybreak (reward and retribution in the next life is an absolute reality). 4 Is there in that an oath for the mindful? 5 Have you not heard how your Lord dealt with Aad? 6 (And) the tall giants of Iram? 7 The like of which were not created in the (other) cities; 8 and with the Thamud, who cut out [huge] rocks in the valley, 9 And with Fir'awn, owner of the stakes 10 led rebellious lives, 11 And who then spread a lot of turmoil in them. 12 Then their Lord unloosed upon them the lash of chastisement. 13 your Lord keeps an eye on (all evil-doing people). 14 And as for man, when his Lord tries him, then treats him with honor and makes him lead an easy life, he says: My Lord honors me. 15 But when He tests him by straitening his sustenance, he says: “My Lord has humiliated me.” 16 Nay! But you treat not the orphans with kindness and generosity (i.e. you neither treat them well, nor give them their exact right of inheritance)! 17 and you do not urge one another to feed the needy, 18 and you devour the inheritance greedily, 19 and you ardently love wealth. 20 Surely when We pound the earth to powder grounded, pounded to dust, 21 and (when you find yourself) in the presence of your Lord and the rows and rows of angels, your greed for riches will certainly be of no avail to you. 22 On that day, hell will be brought closer and the human being will come to his senses, but this will be of no avail to him. 23 He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." 24 None punisheth as He will punish on that day! 25 And no one shall bind with (anything like) His binding. 26 O the contented soul! 27 return to your Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing. 28 Join My servants. 29 And enter into My garden. 30
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
