Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the daybreak 1 and ten nights (of pilgrimage or the last ten days of Ramadan), 2 And [by] the even [number] and the odd 3 And [by] the night when it passes, 4 is there not in this strong evidence for a man of sense? 5 Have you not seen what your Lord did to the 'Ad 6 [With] Iram - who had lofty pillars, 7 The like of which were not produced in (all) the land? 8 and Thamood, who hollowed the rocks in the valley, 9 And (with) Fir'aun (Pharaoh), who had pegs (who used to torture men by binding them to pegs)? 10 [All of] whom oppressed within the lands 11 and caused much corruption in them: 12 Therefore your Lord let down upon them a portion of the chastisement. 13 Truly your Lord is ever watchful. 14 As for man, whenever his Lord tries him and then is gracious and provides good things for him, he says: "My Lord has been gracious to me." 15 But when He tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he says: My Lord has disgraced me. 16 No indeed; but you honour not the orphan, 17 and you urge not the feeding of the needy, 18 and you greedily devour the inheritance of the weak, 19 and you have a love of wealth which can never be satisfied. 20 Nay, but when the earth is ground to atoms, grinding, grinding, 21 And your Lord comes and (also) the angels in ranks, 22 And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall being mindful (then) avail him? 23 He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!" 24 For, that Day, His Chastisement will be such as none (else) can inflict, 25 None bindeth as He then will bind. 26 O soul that art at rest! 27 Return thou unto thy Sustainer, well-pleased [and] pleasing [Him]: 28 "Enter thou, then, among My devotees! 29 Enter then My garden." 30
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
