The Town (Al-Balad)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after Q (Qaaf) before The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by yonder city 1 And you are free (from sin, to punish the enemies of Islam on the Day of the conquest) in this city (Makkah). 2 And the begetter and that which he begat, 3 We have indeed created man surrounded by hardships. 4 What, does he think none has power over him, 5 He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance." 6 Does he, then, think that no one sees him? 7 Have We not made for him two eyes 8 and a tongue, and a pair of lips, 9 and shown him the two paths? 10 But he would not attempt the uphill road, 11 And what have you understood, what the valley is! 12 (It is) to free a slave, 13 Or the feeding on a day of hunger. 14 to an orphan near of kin; 15 or of a needy [stranger] lying in the dust 16 Then he became of those who believed and enjoined on each other steadfastness and enjoined on each other compassion. 17 These are the fellows of the righthand. 18 But they who disbelieved in Our signs - those are the companions of the left. 19 Fire will be an awning over them. 20
True are the words of God the Almighty.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
