In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
And by the sun and its brightness; 1 And the moon as she follows in his wake, 2 And by the day as it shows up (the sun's) brightness; 3 And the night when it enshroudeth him, 4 By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure; 5 by the earth and that (Power) which spread it out 6 And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul, etc.), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; 7 Then He inspired it to understand what is right and wrong for it; 8 He who purifies it will indeed be successful, 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 Thamud belied in their exorbitance. 11 when the most wicked of them broke forth, 12 And the apostle of God had to tell them: "This is God's she-camel, let her drink." 13 But they belied him, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin and leveled it (their village). 14 And for Him is no fear of its consequences. 15
