The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And by the sun and its brightness; 1 and the moon as it reflects the sun! 2 And by the day as it shows up (the sun's) brightness; 3 and the night as it veils it darkly! 4 And by the heaven and Him Who built it; 5 And by oath of the earth and by oath of Him Who spread it. 6 By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it; 7 and inspired it with knowledge of evil and piety, 8 He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow, 9 and those who corrupt their souls will certainly be deprived (of happiness). 10 Thamood belied in their pride 11 When the basest of them broke forth 12 Then the apostle of Allah said unto them: beware of the she-camel of Allah and her drink. 13 However, they rejected him and slew her. So their Lord completely destroyed them and their city for their sins. 14 God is not afraid of the result of what He had decreed. 15
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
