Al-Shams
The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
And by the sun and its brightness; 1 And the moon when it follows the sun, 2 and by the day as it reveals its glory 3 and the night as it veils it darkly! 4 By the heaven and Him Who builded it, 5 By the Earth and its (wide) expanse: 6 The soul and how it was integrated 7 And inspired in it the knowledge of its sins and its piety. 8 those who purify their souls will certainly have everlasting happiness 9 And he fails that corrupts it! 10 The people of Thamud rejected (the truth) as a result of their rebelliousness 11 Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety). 12 Then the apostle of Allah said unto them: beware of the she-camel of Allah and her drink. 13 But they belied him, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin and leveled it (their village). 14 and He fears not the issue thereof. 15
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
