The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the sun and its brilliance, 1 And [by] the moon when it follows it 2 by the day, when it displays it, 3 And by the night as it conceals it (the sun); 4 And by oath of the heaven and by oath of Him Who made it. 5 And [by] the earth and He who spread it 6 Consider the human self, and how it is formed in accordance with what it is meant to be, 7 and how it is imbued with moral failings as well as with consciousness of God! 8 He will indeed be successful who purifies it, 9 And he who confines it will surely come to grief. 10 The people of Thamud rejected (the truth) as a result of their rebelliousness 11 When the most wretched of them was sent forth. 12 Then the apostle of Allah said unto them: beware of the she-camel of Allah and her drink. 13 In response they belied him, and hamstrung the she camel so Allah put ruin over them because of their sins and flattened their dwellings. 14 God is not afraid of the result of what He had decreed. 15
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
