The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 And the day resplendent 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
