Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, 5 and believes in the finest, 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 None shall roast therein but the most wretched, 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 They do not expect any reward 19 seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
