The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 and believes in the finest, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We shall surely ease him to the Hardship; 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
