The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 and the day in splendour 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
