The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 And the day resplendent 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
