The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the night when it covers 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 And affirms goodness, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None shall roast therein but the most wretched, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 and from which the most godfearing shall be removed, 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, 19 Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
