The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And the day resplendent 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 And rejects the best, 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 For, distant from it shall remain he who is truly conscious of God: 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
