The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 you strive in various ways. 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
