The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We shall pave his way to hardship, 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
