The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 and have no faith in receiving any reward (from God). 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 Who denied (the truth) and turned away. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
