The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of the night when it covers 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And is under no one's obligation to return his favour, 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
