The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 and the day in splendour 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 And denied the best matter, 9 We shall pave his way to hardship, 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
