The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 and he belied the finest 9 for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 and from which the most godfearing shall be removed, 17 Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
Almighty God's Truth.
