The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night, when it envelops, 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 and believes in the finest, 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
