The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And affirms goodness, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We shall surely ease him to the Hardship; 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
