The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 who belied and turned away, 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
