Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 By the Day as it appears in glory; 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 And affirms goodness, 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 They do not expect any reward 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
